Boom Town: Post Covid Planning in Buffalo, Wyoming

Buffalo, Wyoming, experienced substantial growth pressure during the Covid Pandemic. With limited staff and consultant support, the Town has developed a GIS inventory of the water sewer system/developed a Capital Improvement Plan and an Updated Land Use Plan, all as interactive on-line tools for the public.

Brent has served as a planner in the west for over 20 years, developing planning documents and resources for communities impacted by change. As Regional Vice President for Interstate Engineering, Brent leads a team of 45 professional planners, land surveyors, GIS professionals and engineers in serving rural communities with consulting services.

Manny Rodriguez

Manny serves communities with GIS, design and surveying support. He lives in Buffalo and serves as a member of the Johnson County Planning Board. He's an active participant in the County's update to their Land Use Planning Document. He's also the lead GIS staff person supporting the City of Buffalo with GIS development.

Terry serves the duel role of building inspector and planning director. Terry was raised in Buffalo and has experience as a builder/contractor, public works employee, and building inspector/planning director. Like many small town staff, Terry wears many hats and works hard to serve the citizens of Buffalo.
