Tourism is the second largest industry in the State of Wyoming and is the largest employment sector with over 30,000 people employed. The Wyoming Outdoor Recreation, Tourism, and Hospitality (WORTH) Initiative is positioned to help the University of Wyoming engage with these industries through their mission to support, expand, and diversify Wyoming’s economy through outdoor recreation, tourism, and hospitality industries. This is achieved through applied research, educational products and services, and extension. This session will discuss the work the WORTH Initiative has been conducting and how they are continuing to support the outdoor recreation, tourism, and hospitality industries of Wyoming.
