SESSION

Energy and carbon management in Wyoming: lessons on a dynamic frontier

Wyoming continues to be at the cutting edge of carbon management technology deployment, bolstered by ample geologic storage potential for long-term carbon-dioxide storage and class VI well primacy as of 2020. There is also significant investment – local and federal – and active discussions to investigate opportunities for emergent technologies to serve Wyoming communities. Presenters will synthesize efforts underway to understand ways carbon management technologies can support development objectives and highlight tiered research and planning efforts for three active, multi-stakeholder projects: Wyoming Trails Carbon Hub, WyoTCH (“Watch”) carbon-dioxide (CO2) pipeline FEED study, and Trail of Chiefs, a multi-state CO2 pipeline FEED study.

PRESENTER(S)
