SESSION
Addressing the Rural Housing Conundrum: Challenges and Solutions
This session seeks to explore the challenges of developing affordable housing in rural communities using the experience of Craig, Colorado as a case study. The project in Craig, scheduled to be complete in July of 2024, features 20 units of for-sale housing modular building technique.
Drawn from firsthand experience, we provide practical advice on how to get started with affordable housing projects and what you need to be successful locally. The session will explore ways to leverage state and federal grant funding, build a local team, identify potential developers, and understand the local economics that are driving your housing market.
