Nina Waters
Summit County, CO County Commissioner
With a decade of residency in Summit County, Nina has developed a profound appreciation for the Summit County's unique attributes and the challenges it faces. Her tenure has provided her with invaluable insights into the needs and aspirations of her fellow residents. Nina was appointed to the Board of County Commissioners in September of 2023. Nina's commitment to community service is exemplified by her active involvement in Summit County's various organizations and special interest groups. In addition to her community involvements Nina's philosophy in leadership comes from her commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). Her work on the Board of Blizzard Tecnica's IDEA team, and various panel engagements has equipped her with the skills to foster an inclusive and welcoming environment.
Kathy Chandler-Henery
Eagle County, CO District 2 County Commissioner
Kathy was appointed in July of 2013 and elected to her third and final term in 2020. She is a fourth-generation Coloradan with love of open spaces, clean air and water. She values the western theme of independence, hard work, and community service. Kathy is the county’s representative to the Water Quality/Quantity Committee, Ruedi Reservoir Water and Power Authority, the EGE Air Alliance, and the Colorado River Water Conservation District Board of Directors. She is Vice President of the National Association of Counties' Public Land Steering Committee, and Treasurer of Colorado Counties, Inc.
Shimiki Ross
National Housing Project Manager
U.S Forest Service National Project Housing Manager
Shimiki Ross is currently the National Housing Project Manager at the U.S. Forest Service, bringing experience from previous roles at the U.S. Forest Service and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Ms. Ross has an MBA in Computer Information Systems from Troy University and an MA in Military National Resource Strategy Policy from Nation Defense University.
Scott Fitzwilliams
Forest Supervisor, CO White River National Forest
Forest supervisor of the 2.4-million-acre White River National Forest in Colorado, since 2009. Previously, he was deputy forest supervisor on the Willamette National Forest in Eugene, OR. Fitzwilliams has also held positions on the Tongass National Forest in Sitka, AK; Little Missouri National Grassland in Dickinson, ND; and Bridger-Teton National Forest in Jackson Hole, WY. Throughout his 28-year career with the US Forest Service, he has specialized in the human dimensions of natural resource management, focusing on public involvement, collaboration, and policy development. For most of his career, Fitzwilliams has also been involved with wildland firefighting, serving as a firefighter, public information officer, and agency administrator.
